I. Graduate Research

II. Undergraduate Research
Undergraduates are welcome upon invitation to complete independent research projects in the laboratory as KIN 385 or MCB 290 credit. Most students begin at the beginning of their sophomore year and register for 3 credit hours (= 9-12 hours/week). Requirements to begin independent research include completion of KIN150 or MCB 250/251, high GPA, good work ethic, enthusiasm, and/or permission from Prof. Marni Boppart.
Most students spend the first semester learning cellular and molecular biology techniques in the laboratory. Once mastered, students are able to begin their own research project.
